Last year, Mont SUTTON announced the opening of its new Boutique Expérience SUTTON, its Rossignol Experience Rental Center and its repair shop. Let’s us also remember all the other improvements announced over the last few seasons, such as: new tree skiing trails, new grooming machines, new snow guns, new learning park for children… Here’s what’s new at Mont SUTTON and its area for this winter.
A new bigger and better design for the customer service counter: to enhance your customer service experience
The customer service desk and ticket counter has been given a face lift. Its brand new counter at the ticket office and the customer service desk inside the main chalet Alt.400m gives for more space, more service points and terminals and a better flow for an enjoyable customer service experience.
The master plan of the Réserve naturelle des Montagnes-Vertes has been put on the table
This master plan is a regional approach gathering over 20 partners Ì¶ Mont SUTTON is one of the partners, among others. It is a culmination of 15 years of effort for the Nature Conservancy, which will be achieved with 4 main goals, totaling 32 concrete actions to be accomplished in the next 5 years. They will be implemented by 7 key partners in total. The 4 goals affect the vocation of conservation, research, discovery and regional influence. In addition to skiing on the hillside of the Réserve naturelle des Montagnes-Vertes, skiers and snowboarders at Mont SUTTON can be assured of the protection in perpetuity of the landscape in the Réserve naturelle des Montagnes-Vertes and may witness upcoming changes, such as the implementation of the eco-sensitive plan and educational activities on Sutton mountain massif… Learn more about the master plan of the Réserve naturelle des Montagnes-Vertes: www.conservationdelanature.ca/rnmv
Two new Webcams: one at the summit and one at the base of the mountain
Because an image is worth a thousand of words, skiers and snowboarders will now have 2 new Webcams for their viewing pleasure at the top and base of the mountain with crisper resolution and better images. See what’s really going on, on the mountain, in real time via the snow report page. Mont SUTTON’s snow accumulation measurements are communicated via the daily snow report and is always taken at the base of the mountain, but we often forget that precipitations at the summit of the mountain are more generous! So view the difference yourself with Mont SUTTON’s new Webcams!
New ski resort added on the Carte Blanche: Smugglers’ Notch in Vermont is joining Owl’s Head and Mont SUTTON
In addition to the numerous ways to save money at Mont SUTTON ie: $5 Anniversary Day, $25+ tax theme days and ski and stay package starting from $89 + tax, skiers and snowboarders will now be able to save at an additional ski resort with the Carte Blanche! For the 2014-2015 ski season, Smugglers’ Notch, a ski resort in Vermont, has joined Mont SUTTON and Owl’s Head on the Carte Blanche. The Carte Blanche, printed in limited quantities, is available for FREE in local sports stores (list available on montsutton.com). It allows clients to ski at one of the participating ski resorts and get discounts on every visit. The 5th visit is free!
New accommodation in Sutton: Chalets H
The Hôtel Horizon is under new management. It’s going to be run under the same administration as Huttopia, a well-known European company. Beginning this winter, Sutton guests will not only be able to stay at the long standing Hôtel Horizon but they will also have the opportunity to stay in brand new chalets located close to the hotel, Chalets H. Each two story chalet is 100% Quebec made with natural untreated wood. These units have 2 bedrooms, a fireplace, a mezzanine, offering superior luminosity, and can sleep up to 6 people. New edition of the #PurementSUTTON photo contest
For two seasons now Mont SUTTON has allowed skiers and snowboarders to share photos of their ski experience at Mont SUTTON via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, by using the hashtag #PurementSUTTON. Many of these photos have been used in this seasons pass campaign. For the 2014-2015 winter, Mont SUTTON expects to introduce a new edition of this photo contest.
