SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH (February 13, 2013)- The North Face Masters of Snowboarding presented by PrimaLoft event schedule has been adjusted due to current conditions of the competition venue. The 2-star Freeride World Qualifier (FWQ) competition day at Alpine Meadows will proceed as previously scheduled. There will only be one day of 4-star FWQ competition at Squaw Valley on February 15. Full 4-star FWQ points will be awarded to athletes after Friday’s competition. The 4-star competition will also be webcast live onwww.thenorthface.com/masters.
The North Face Masters is part of the Freeride World Qualifier system. FWQs are rated on a 1 to 4-star scale with competitors earning more or less points at events according to venue difficulty and scale, competitive pool and other factors. The Masters is the top-level qualifier event and a pivotal step for athletes hoping to advance to the SWATCH Freeride World Tour by The North Face.
