Lake Louise, Alta. – We’re happy to announce that Top of the World Chair and Summit Platter have opened for the season. Skiers and riders can now enjoy a full 3,250 feet of vertical via 4 open lifts and 19 runs of classic Lake Louise terrain. The Boomerang runs and Paradise Chair will open tomorrow. The Sunny Carpet #1 (Learning Area) has also opened for the season. The Learning Area is the best place for both kids and adults to learn to ski or snowboard, especially if taking a private or group lesson from one of our expert Snow School instructors.

Don’t forget, early season discounted Lift Ticket pricing is in effect. 2014/15 Lake Louise Plus Card holders save an additional $5 by visiting a ticket counter and are not required to use their free days during early season ticket pricing.

Lake Louise WinterStart World Cup – Men’s: November 29 & 30
Once again Lake Louise is in the spotlight as we play host to the world’s fastest alpine ski racers for the inaugural event of the speed season. The Lake Louise WinterStart World Cup kicks-off on Saturday, November 29 with the Men’s Downhill, followed by Men’s Super G on the Sunday.

Attendance is free for all spectators and a colorful fan cheering zone, plus exciting kid fun zone, will be available in the base area. Designated zones will have live DJ’s, fire pits, marshmallows, hot chocolate, face tattoos, product giveaways and more. This is the only event of its kind in Canada so don’t miss your chance to witness the world’s fastest male ski racers take on Lake Louise!

Kids Ski Free During World Cup
Kids ages 12 and under ski free during World Cup with the purchase of a full-day Adult Lift Ticket. A maximum of 2 Child Lift Tickets will be given per Adult Lift Ticket purchase. Visit a ticket counter to redeem.

Heavy Metal Rail Jam – Registration Open
For all the freestylers out there, online registration is now open for the 2014 Heavy Metal Rail Jam taking place on Sunday, December 14. Registration costs $30 including tax with a bonus option to add a 20% discounted Lift Ticket.

Guys and girls are grouped into three age categories and vie for $2,000 cash and other prizes! The event is in jam format to give you plenty of time to stomp out your tricks across several features. For more details and to register online head here.
