BLUE MOUNTAINS, ON – December, 28, 2011 – Blue Mountain is set to open the Resort end-to-end on Thursday, December 29, 2011, as Mother Nature blanketed the region with snow. Blue Mountain is opening trails and lifts across the mountain, providing skiers and snowboarders with the most available and diverse terrain in Ontario.
Now that winter has finally arrived, Blue Mountain’s Snowmaking and Grooming teams are working at a rapid pace to expand available terrain. The Resort plans to have 15-20 trails open on Thursday, with an average base of 30-40cm of snow. Provided the conditions remain steady, the Resort hopes to be operating at full capacity by the end of the weekend.
